Our Mission

Strengthening individuals and communities through accessible American Jiu-Jitsu training, self-defense education, mentorship, and wellness outreach.

Mission Statement

Ramona American Jiu-Jitsu is a federally and state tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening individuals and communities through accessible American Jiu-Jitsu training, self-defense education, violence-prevention programming, mentorship, and wellness-based outreach.

We serve youth, women, veterans, first responders, law enforcement personnel, families, and underserved populations across San Diego County by providing affordable, trauma-informed training programs that build confidence, discipline, resilience, personal safety, and long-term community connection.

Our work is focused on removing financial and access barriers while delivering practical, real-world skills that improve safety, physical health, mental wellness, and overall quality of life.

Our current model includes high-frequency youth classes, adaptive veteran reintegration programming, and a mobile outreach strategy designed to reach underserved and rural communities.

Tax note: Membership fees are program service fees and are not tax-deductible. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
